Cocos Palm Removal
Cocos Palm Removal
This was a removal of a Cocos Palm tree in Manning, Perth. Due to the mess created by this Cocos palm the owner wanted it removed. These trees are notorious for being hard to maintain and are actually regarded as an environmental weed due to its reproductive capabilities, creating thick carpets of seedlings. Due to its nature, homeowners who have this type of tree in their gardens, front porch or near their homes are opting for its complete removal.
In this particular case, our challenges were as follows:
- Cocas palm tree was in close proximity to surrounding structures.
- The height
- Limited time-frame.
These problems were, without a doubt, challenging. Without proper skill, experience and equipment, it is highly plausible that the tree would have fallen on the surrounding structures and cause some serious damage. Therefore, it is important to consider hiring professionals to tackle these challenges to ensure the safety of both yourself, your assets and other people.
The first two challenges were handled by using the same method effectively. That is, using a specialised cutting method at a higher point of the palm tree to control how the tree will fall down, thus minimising the risks to surrounding structures. By using a specialised cutting method, we were able to cut the tree in such a way that the surrounding structures were not damaged or affected in anyway. Despite the fact that the Cocos palm tree being very tall and surrounded by structures, we managed to cut it so that it falls down in the areas where there are gaps between the structures.
The third challenge was competing against time. In this particular case, the race was against our own bookings. Due to the hectic schedule we had on that day, we had to finish our job as effectively and efficiently as possible to ensure that we keep all of our clients happy.
However, it is important to note that these sort of tasks cannot be rushed or it will have severe consequences such as the tree falling on nearby structures or even someone! Although we were competing against time, we ensured that we had the right plan of action, the right equipment and the right people to get this done in a timely manner. Without these three important components, we would not have been able to complete this task as successfully.
